1: CONTEXT
What is an Emergency Situation?
An emergency is a situation where life has hit them so hard that they are not able to work in their business.
Here are some examples:
Big Health Challenges:
Long hospital stay.
Cancer, stroke or heart attack (or health challenges of that nature)
Major accident or concussion.
And... Giving Birth
Grief/Loss:
Lost their child
Lost their partner
Lost their parent
Loss of home (in a fire) or to bankruptcy.
If they are not in an extreme situation like those listed above and are requesting support, please go to Special Request (to Empowered Alignment)
Intention
As hard as the situation might be, it’s essential to see them as the hero (and not the victim) and to give them the support that a mentor would give to a hero when they are at one of the lowest points of their hero’s journey.
Our intention is to be compassionate and provide the “right sized support.” Not so much that we over support and not so little that we add unnecessary stress to a crisis situation.
Before offering a pause, it’s essential to use the template below to listen compassionately, ask powerful questions they may not be asking themselves and come to a greater understanding as to what would most serve them.
In some cases, they may NOT want to stop working their business. And they may WANT the support of our community. So a program pause would be unnecessary and confusing.
The longer the pause, the less likely they’ll get back to their business and the less likely they’ll get back to Thrive. So… right-sized support.
So, please enter this call with an open mind and open heart… with the desire to serve a strong hero who is going through a very challenging moment.

Looking back at some of the hardest things I’ve faced, I have noticed that I have had some of the biggest insights and some of the most amazing growth during those times. Have you noticed anything that has shifted for you since this has started?

Okay, so it sounds like you’re financially set up to take some time off. How much time are you able to take away from your business without having financial stress?
Great! That sounds like a really great plan.I’m glad this is a _____(month program) so that you have time to breathe and not feel pressured like you would in a 90 day program to keep going when you’re in a position to rest and heal.

I can put that request in to our team leader. I find that the shorter the pause request, the easier I can get it pushed through. How long would you be requesting a pause for?
They need the money
Okay! I’m glad you’re here in Thrive, because we can support you with that. I would recommend taking AS MUCH time for self-care and processing as you can… but, if you can dedicate an hour a day to the money making activities of your business… and by that I mean booking consults… that can keep the money flowing in, without completely derailing you from the grieving and processing that you may be going through. How does that sound?
